Bobby passed away unexpectedly from complications of diabetes and heart disease on June 2. He was 53
years old and, based on an email he wrote when he turned 50, "expected to start growing old soon in
Jackson." "Jackson is a good place to grow old," he said. We will miss Bobby's humor. We will miss
his big heart. His physical heart may have been worn and tired but his spritual heart was strong. He
helped and touched many people. He is gone too soon, but he is WHOLE, he is COMPLETE and he is
HAPPY. I will miss my big brother.
From your daughter
You gave me my 1st taste of coffee. Lots of cream and sugar. Took me on my 1st fishing trip. I always remembered our summers together. I still have a love of fishing and coffee. Although I only take cream these days. I hope you know how much that meant to me and how much I did love you.
Bobby will truly be missed in our community as a friend, co-worker, neighbor, or just a good-ole guy. Working with Bobby was a pleasure - - I was always amazed at his vast knowledge and skills, for which he had the best of hand tools! He will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and love for his fellow man, complete with a smile for ALL.

Bobby was a truly wonderful and generous person. He was generous with his spirit, humor, knowledge and anything else that he had to offer. I believe that when he looked at people, he saw beyond what was on the surface. He saw each person for what God had created them. He embraced All people, especially the ones that society would pass by or even turn away from. I will miss my friend always and my heart goes out to his family.

Letter From Heaven
When tomorrow starts without me,
and I'm not there to see;
If the sun should rise and find your eyes,
all filled with tears for me;
I wish so much you wouldn't cry,
the way you did today,
while thinking of the many things,
we didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me,
as much as I love you,
and each time that you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too;
But when tomorrow starts without me,
please try to understand,
that an Angel came and called my name,
and took me by the hand,
and said my place was ready,
in heaven far above,
and that I'd have to leave behind,
all those I dearly love.
But as I turned to walk away,
a tear fell from my eye,
for all life, I'd always thought,
I didn't want to die.
I had so much to live for,
so much yet to do,
it seemed almost impossible,
that I was leaving you.
I thought of all the yesterdays,
the good ones and the bad,
I thought of all the love we shared,
and all the fun we had.
If I could relive yesterday,
just even for awhile,
I'd say goodbye and kiss you
and maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized,
that this could never be,
for emptiness and memories,
would take the place of me.
And when I thought of worldly things,
I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did,
my heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through heaven's gates,
I felt so much at home.
When God looked down and smiled at me,
from His great golden throne,
He said, "This is eternity,
and all I've promised you".
Today for life on earth is past,
but here it starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow,
but today will always last,
and since each day's the same day,
there's no longing for the past.
But you have been so faithful,
so trusting and so true.
Though there were times you did some things,
you knew you shouldn't do.
But you have been forgiven
and now at last you're free.
So won't you take my hand
and share my life with me?
So when tomorrow starts without me,
don't think we're far apart,
for every time you think of me,
I'm right here, in your heart.

When I get where I'm Going
When I get where I'm going
on the far side of the sky.
The first thing that I'm gonna do
Is spread my wings and fly.
I'm gonna land beside a lion,
and run my fingers through his mane.
Or I might find out what it's like
To ride a drop of rain
(Chorus:)
Yeah when I get where I'm going,
there'll be only happy tears.
I will shed the sins and struggles,
I have carried all these years.
And I'll leave my heart wide open,
I will love and have no fear.
Yeah when I get where I'm going,
Don't cry for me down here.
I'm gonna walk with my grandaddy,
and he'll match me step for step,
and I'll tell him how I missed him,
every minute since he left.
Then I'll hug his neck.
(Chorus)
So much pain and so much darkness,
in this world we stumble through.
All these questions, I can't answer,
so much work to do.
But when I get where I'm going,
and I see my Maker's face.
I'll stand forever in the light,
of His amazing grace.
Yeah when I get where I'm going,
Yeah when I get where I'm going,
there'll be only happy tears.
Hallelujah!
I will love and have no fear.
When I get where I'm going.
Yeah when I get where I'm going.
